Quality evaluation in storage of aonla (Emblica officinalis Gaertn.) juice extracted from fruits preserved by steeping in water
Aonla (Emblica officinalis Gaertn.) fruits are preserved either in water or salt solution for a couple of weeks for the commercial preparation of products. In the present study, quality of aonla (cv. Chakaiya) juice prepared from fruits steep preserved in water for 30 days was assessed during storage up to 9 months under ambient conditions. The juice was prepared from fruits withdrawn at 0, 5, ...
متن کاملEffect of Different Organic Mulching Materials on Soil Properties of Na ‘7’ Aonla (emblica Officinalis Gaertn) under Rainfed Condition of Shiwalik Foothills of Himalayas India
Aonla or Indian gooseberry (Emblica officinalis Gaertn) has become the important fruit crop of arid and semi–arid region of the country because of its hardy nature that makes it suitable to grow in varied edephoclimatic conditions of such regions. The major constraints are moisture stress and inherently poor soil fertility. The uses of mulches help to reduce water consumed (Keramat et al., 2011...
متن کاملEffect of Emblica officinalis (Gaertn) on CCl4 induced hepatic toxicity and DNA synthesis in Wistar rats.
A single dose of CCl4 (1 ml/kg body weight, po in corn oil) increased the levels of SGOT (serum glutamate oxaloacetate transaminase), SGPT (serum glutamate pyruvate transaminase), LDH (lactate dehydrogenase), glutathione-S-transferase and depletion in reduced glutathione, glutathione peroxidase and glutathione reductase. It also caused enhancement in the levels of lipid peroxidation (LPO) and D...

متن کاملEffect of Emblica officinalis (Gaertn) on lens regeneration in the frog, Rana cyanophlyctis (Schneider).
Emblica officinalis (Amla) accelerated cell proliferation and dedifferentiation of pigmented epithelial cells of dorsal iris and consequently induced lens regeneration in R. cyanophlyctis. Further it enhanced the percentage of lens regeneration not only in young tadpoles but also is adult frogs. Lens regeneration ability declined with the age of animals in both control as well as treated groups.
